Eye makeup tips are provided below to provide a basic knowledge of the application process.  The eyes are the focal point on the face and makeup can be used to highlight this region of the face.  Your eye makeup should be coordinated to match the rest of your makeup on your face.  We have many tips that can enhance your look, but we also recommend experimenting with different colors and styles that fit your unique look.

1.  Selecting an Eye Shadow

There are various eye shadow types such as cream or powder.  If you have dry unwrinkled skin you may prefer cream shadow.  Oily or older skin would be well suited for powder eye makeup.  The creamy kind will sink into creases or wrinkles and will evaporate into oily skin.

2.  Selecting Eye Shadow Color

When selecting the color of your eye makeup make sure to keep in mind the color of your skin tone.  Feel free to mix light and dark shades to blend different colors together.  The browns and earth tone colors are typically worn during the day.  Evening or social makeup will usually include the different colors with dark shadows.  It can also be fun to coordinate your eye make up with your outfit.  Refrain from using the shade of eye makeup that is close to the color of your eye because that will draw attention away from your eyes.

3.  Eye Liner Tips

Your eyeliner will help to define the outline of your eye and make them look larger.  Eyeliner is basic you want to outline your eyes on the edge of the bottom and upper eyelid.  The eye liner should completely go around your eye but not exceed that point.  Again, these tips are for bringing attention to your eyes not away from them.

4.  Mascara to Add Finishing Touch

Mascara is the final touch to your eye makeup that brings the final touch to make your eyes look amazing.  We recommend using an eyelash curler to really open up the eyes.  This may not seem like a crucial step, but it really can make a difference to bring the attention to the eyes.
